Container fees are Fee products linked to other products that include containers, such as beverages.
To set up and use container fees, some requirements are:
- Make sure there is a Shopify native meta field setup with the key container_fee_product (screenshot below)
- The container fee product must have the type 'Fee'
- Give the container fee product a name with the price in it, and assign the matching price. Container Fee - $0.29 as the title and 0.29 as the price
Enable Container Fees in the cart by going to Theme settings > Cart > Container fee
To assign a container fee to a product, copy the handle of the container fee product, and add it to the Container fee meta field of the product with the container. The handle is available at the bottom of a product's page within the SEO area.
